The animals in this section are adoptable but have specific challenges that require an extra special adopter. In some cases, these animals will be on medications for life such as insulin for diabetic animals as well as cats/dogs that have kidney or heart disease. Sometimes it is due to the animals not being well socialized and significantly more time will be necessary for the cat/dog to adjust to new people and a new home. We also place cats/dogs who are deaf or blind in this category.
